The Big Plan

Well, quite some time has passed since my last update but i have to dissappoint you, this time - no pics. I'll be describeing the detail of how and what i plan to do.

For now i only plan on putting the WC sistem in the case so only slight modifications will be done. The one and probably only major modification to the case was the making of the top blow hole for the second radiator, so the case exterior will remain

largely intact meanwhile the interior will have to be adjusted to fit the WC setup and anything else that comes to my mind.

WC Components

Radiators: 2x Black Ice GT Stealth I

Due to its compact size and high fin densety this rad is spot-on for my project, i think. Measureing only 29,6mm thick it takes up significantly less space than the ordinary radiator, allowing me to make it almost invisible in the case. I love it.

CPU block: EK Supreme

Is a relatively new block produced by EK Waterblocks (http://ekwaterblocks.com/) and is considerd at least top of the line at the moment. Hopefull it'll serve me well.

Pump: Laing DDC-1T

Classic.

Res & DDC-Top: EK-DDC X-RES 100

Another of EK product, also relatively new (http://ekwaterblocks.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=26&products_id=207) the compact design and "two-in-one" feature you just can't say no to.

Fillport: ???

I first intended to order the DD filport but ordering such a small piece from abroad (maybe even US) proved to be far to expensive. I'm planing on making my own, but it'll have to wait a little longer as this is certainly not my first priority. Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E

Fans
Fan 1:
Scythe S-FLEX SFF21E Quality fans, both quiet and efficient.
Fan 2: Scythe AD1212DS-A73GL(6TCL7)

Tubing: Tygon R-3400

As i have mentioned before i'll probably be using Tygon tubing. At first i was very skeptical as this kind of tubing is not that easy to get and can be quite pricy, but now i'm willing to give it a try. The shinny black finish is just irresistable.

Fittings: Screw-in 8/11

The only decent looking type of fitting i know. Together with the Tygon tubing it should look excellent.
I'll probably be buying them from Eddy, as well. (http://ekwaterblocks.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=151)

A simple drawing of the WC setup inside the case:

Well, i think whis should cover just about all of the WC parts, now on to the computer configuration.
Also, as you might have noticed i won't be WC-ing my GPU as I intend to buy a new card shortly. For now i'm leaving the job to my Zalman VF900Cu.

Computer configuration

I'll be using my current primary computer for this mod, here's the configuration:

CPU: Intel C2D E6600
MB: Asus P5W-DH Deluxe
RAM: 2x OCZ Gold PC6400 1gb
GPU: XFX GF7900GT 256mb
HDD: Seagate 160gb SATAII
PSU: Tagan 580W Easy-Con Series

A slim DVD-RW unit will be added later on as the normal sized unit won't fit.

A voltmod for the graphics card and the motherboard is also planned in the far future, but there are plenty of things to do 'till then.

Happy new year 2008! :)

Black Ice GT I & Laing DDC-1T

Got good news today! Called the local mod-shop, they're sending the watercooling stuff i ordered today so I should have it tomorrow! Until then, here are some pics of the radiator and pump I already have that i took today. :)

Oh, also found out that there's a good chance I'll be getting some Tygon R-3400 black 8/11 tubing, but I'm not quite there yet. Still considering if it's worth it's price: 7€ by the meter is a bit (too) much.

Lian Li PC-G50B!

I finally managed to find the pictures i took when i first got this case some time ago. It's a true beauty! ^^

I know the pix are a bit weird, i was trying to get some natural light and didn't have all that much space.

More to come soon :)

Intro

Hello and welcome to my newly formed blog!

This blog is going to be dedicated solely to the modding of computer components and other electronics done by myself.
I plan on documenting my progress regularly with lots of pictures, starting my first project shortly.

That's it for now :)
